Red Boat Wing Chun has an intensive grading structure. The curriculum you have access to here on your membership is exactly what we would assess you on for your gradings if you were here at the HQ or any of our Kwoons in the world.

We replaced a Sash structure with a Belt structure (it’s really just a change in attire and terminology) due to the change of uniform, which was a t-shirt and black pants, to a black Gi, which is much more durable especially when working in the clinch, takedowns and on the ground.

Everyone starts as a beginner – level one – and works their way to level 9 which is the last of the Black Belts. After Black Belt is Gold Belt. Gold Belt is a complete re-assessment of the entire curriculum from 1-9.
Gradings Included in Your Subscription
Whether you subscribe the monthly Wing Chun Renegade membership or you buy each course as you go, your gradings are included in the cost.

If you were grading at the HQ or one of our other Kwoons, you would complete the grading over a few hours, but since you are training online and not receiving the regular feedback you would usually get when training in-house, we have structured the grading assessments so that you can do each segment incrementally. This way you can focus on one thing at a time and get it right, before you move on to the next.

The grading assessment includes not just a pass/fail from us, but feedback on how you can develop your skills to be even better.

To provide a service to our loyal students at Red Boat HQ we are livestreaming classes whilst in lockdown and/or restrictions limit our ability to conduct our normal classes. This is open to all Wing Chun Renegade members at no extra cost.

This is something we may continue to do once the pandemic has subsided, however it must be noted that this is not part of the Wing Chun Renegade subscription but a free bonus during this unusual time.

This course was a game-changer for me that altered my diet, training technique and attitude. The fitness test sorted out the wheat from the chaff and set goals for all of us.
